Average API availability – unweighted

This chart shows the unweighted average availability of the account providers’ (ASPSPs)* Open Banking APIs.

Unweighted availability is calculated using the endpoint with the highest downtime for each bank, each day, regardless of the number of API calls each endpoint received.

Notes on the data:  Unweighted average API availability is based on data submitted by account providers (ASPSPs) to Open Banking for the last two years.  Since November 2022 there have been 9 Providers and 20 brands providing data.

Average API availability – weighted

Successful API calls

Open Banking User Connections

All User Connections

This chart shows the total and number of new user conections consuming Open Banking services each month

Notes on the data:

All user connections have consumed AIS and/or PIS services in the reporting period.  

Total user connections as reported includes the volume of new user connections.

Open Banking are unable to identify individuals consuming services through more than one brand.  Reporting therefore represents the number of user connections with the brands providing reporting, rather than individual users.

New user connections have consumed AIS and/or PIS services for the first time during the reporting period.  User connections consuming both services for the first time in different reporting periods, will be reported as a new user connection in each period in the ‘All User connections’ chart
